Job Summary

As a Service and Application Engineer, you will play a crucial role in supporting, developing, testing, and implementing innovative testing equipment. This position offers the opportunity to work with world-class customers and collaborate closely with engineers and the sales team. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in electrical or mechanical background, resides in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

Responsibilities

  • Test and optimize automated equipment in the semiconductor field.
  • Communicate and consult with customers regarding testing applications for automated equipment.
  • Determine the materials, equipment, and installation sequences necessary to maximize installation efficiency.
  • Design diagram layouts, determine orientation, locations, facility requirements, and building features for equipment installation.
  • Assist in kit design and participate in design reviews for implementation.
  • Activate equipment and verify system functionality to meet performance expectations.
  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical motor/pneumatic systems.
  • Perform calibration, installation, configuration, and recipe tuning of automated equipment.
  • Identify equipment deficiencies, both hardware and software, or safety issues and provide feedback to the technical team.
  • Identify equipment design/assembly issues and provide feedback to technical or production teams.
  • Provide training on system operation, maintenance, and calibration.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Maintain a preventive maintenance schedule and keep service records.
  • Provide operator training for daily operations and preventive maintenance.
  • Provide technical support to the sales team, including system demonstrations, specifications, and limitations.

Criteria

  • Electrical or Mechanical background
  • Knowledge of computer peripherals
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and schematics for troubleshooting/debugging.
  • Ability to perform certain tasks with hand tools.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical field (e.g., BSME, BSEE, BSCS, or Industrial Technology).
  • 1+ years of relevant experience in service or application fields.
  • Must have current authorization to work in Canada and be able to travel to the USA.

Working Condition

  • Working schedule Monday - Friday
  • Candidate resides in Toronto, ON, Canada is required.
